We have come a long way, yet, the complaints never stop. It is always one thing or the other. Since independence, we have tested different leaders from the three major tribes in Nigeria and still, things remain the same.
I have a theory.
Perhaps, it is not about the “tribe” per se, but the person. Why don’t we give an opportunity to someone whose intention is to unify us all?
After all, regardless of numbers, every ethnic group in Nigeria matters, and if a minority group offers up the right candidate, we must give them a chance.
This moment in time in Nigeria’s story is reserved for the youth, and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi represents the interests of every young person in Nigeria. He has proven that he has the capability to unite people whom he has been tasked to govern, why not give him a chance?
His is God-sent to settle Nigeria’s differences.
For a long time, the Nigerian youth have been asked to get involved in politics. The Nigerian youth are now ready to take their rightful place, which is why a Yahaya Bello Presidency is a win-win for all.

He is a distinguished and versatile geologist, prophetic celebrity, banker per excellence, and an experienced oil and gas magnate. Chief Edward Onoja, a man divinely imbued with Davidic anointing has proven beyond doubt that he is a symbol of responsive leadership, a teacher and a sticker of unmatched master of politics in Igalaland and this ultimately earned him the office of the second in command in Kogi State.

In recent past, renowned career rabble rousers such as Omoyele Sowore, Austin Okai, and many others in the despicable business of pulling people down made unsuccessful attempt to smear the hard earned image of this man with impeccable character. However, the people of Kogi State who value the personality of the Chief Strategist, were emboldened with the fact that Chief Onoja is like a mango tree with ripe fruits who apparently attracts hewing of pebbles from all sorts of creatures including those that requires urgent mental and psychological re-evaluation.
These unfortunate social media miscreants who used Chief Edward Onoja’s name to relaunch their battered image have had to shamefully embrace usage of phony accounts to perpetrate nefarious crime against a leader who is daily basking in the euphoria of God’s endless mercy and grace. Little did they know that Chief Edward David Onoja has become an octopus and polyhistor, the more you hate him, the more successful he becomes!
Every well meaning Kogites must understand that Chief Edward Onoja is not called Governor Yahaya Bello’s Siamese twin in vain. CEDO has been supportive to Governor Yahaya Bello since 2015 (AYB-GYB) and presently from GYB-PYB. He has since maintained unapologetic focus in his belief in leadership qualities of Governor Yahaya Bello. He is never a pessimist but an endowed persona who also wish well for the growth of others.
Chief Edward Onoja’s policies and strategies of life have always been opened and people-centered. He does his things frontally when the time is right. He is close to the grassroots and as well one of the government key personalities that creates times for the youths on social space by guiding them right. He will never send any miscreants in disguise to pull any of his contemporaries down because when the voice of the Leader(GYB) roars at the end, all GYB hench men must collaborate to amplify such decision.
We can only progress if only we give room for it and the only way we could do that is by preaching for peace and unity as they are the foundation of any progressive society.
Let us maintain firm gaze for the full manifestation of GYB2PYB laurel. It is doable and achievable. This is because future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. No reason for anxiety, lets enhance trust bond. We are and we remain one big family of the New Direction Government. Outsiders can only try but cannot sow a seed of discord among us.

The late Sheikh Shuiabu Abubakar Kenchi,was born in Lokoja in 1902, the young Kenchi started his education at tender age in Lokoja.

The Magajin Gari educational and public service life are readily available in the public domain so this tribute is not intended to delve into what has become public knowledge about the life of late Sheikh Shuiabu Abubakar Kenchi, including his service with the Judiciary in then Northern Region,and Kwara state, where he had his last public service assignment in 1971.
Kenchi’s early life was not like any pampered Northern Prince of his days you may think of but in his case,according to him, it was with a mix of strict discipline because his father, being an educated man himself appreciated the importance of education for his children and therefore resisted the tendency to allow his children to be pampered (an interview he granted in 1987).
He explained that:”my father gave me all that a son might require commensurate with the time, but also strictly ensured i went to school in spite of the resentment for western education at that time,”he explained. Late Sheikh Abubakar Kenchi attended both Qur’anic and Arabic education from different Islamic scholars.
From 1920- 1926,Young Kenchi attended Christ Methodist School( CMS), Lokoja, now Bishop Crowther, Local Education Authority (LGEA),Lokoja.
In his quest for Education, Sheikh proceeded to School For Arabic Studies(SAS),Kano where he spent three years: 1950-53. Institute of Administration and Legal Studies, Zaria; 1960-62.
An experienced teacher,Abubakar Kenchi took teaching appointed with the Northern Regional Government,where he taught Arabic and Islamic Studies.
In 1935- 1940,he was offered appointment by Lokoja Native Authority (N.A),as Market Overseer,the position he held until he was upgraded to the position of Tax Scribe(Secretary),1950.
In 1954,Sheikh was employed by Nigeria Police College,Kaduna as an instructor/ Teacher in Islamic Law where he teach for four years(1960).
From 1960,Sheikh was offered an appointment by the then Kwara State Government,as President,Kwara Divisional Criminal Court,Lokoja he served in that capacity, until 1966.
In 1966-67,he was appointed Alkalin Wake/ Judge,Kaduna, President, Mixed Court,Kaduna,1967-68 Acting Alkali /Judge,Upper Area Court, Kwara State,1969-71.
Sheikh Abubakar Kenchi retired,but not tired in 1971,as Judge/ Khadi of Upper Area Court,Lokoja.
As mentioned earlier, Late Sheikh Shuiabu Abubakar Kenchi was not tired,the late Islamic Cleric devoted his life in service to Islam and humanity.
Sheikh Kenchi was a founding member of Jama’atul Nasril Islam,Fitiyanul Islam,Islamic Missionary Association of Nigeria, and Failat Tijjaniyat El-Ibrahimiya. Secretary, Kogi Local Government land Allocation Committee, he served in various Committees;Islamic arbitration committee, Chairman, police public Relation Committee (PPRC),Co- founder,Ansarul Islam Arabic/Primary School, Lokoja.
A traditional titleholder of Magajin Gari,a title which made him one of the kingmakers, the assignment which in 1992,the Magajin Gari participated in the nomination of the present Maigari of Lokoja after the demised of His father.
Sheikh Abubakar Shuiabu Kenchi, an eminent Scholar, the Ndeji of Amana Kakanda Muye (1980-1995),Magajin Garin Lakwaja (1986-1995),answered the call of His Creator on Friday 29th December 1995(9th Shaaban ,1415AH).
Late Magajin Gari,was recently awarded posthumously for his meritorious service to Islam and Humanity by Kogi State Muslim Organization Abubaka, He was a father to many,a Teacher, Legal Luminary, Preacher ,farmer,Community and Spiritual leader.
Late Sheikh Abubakar Kenchi’s private life revolved around his family. He loved children,Orphans,and the less privilege . He invested so much in educational pursuit, where he tried to give them the best he could.
